1901
Eastern Tube and Tool Company, the predecessor to ETTCO were founded by E.T. Trotter in Brooklyn, NY. Products included tapping heads, drill heads, and specialty machines.
1912
William Procunier begins manufacturing positive drive reversing tappers with friction chuck and non-reversing friction tap chuck in Chicago, IL.
1914
George Emrick is the first of several Quick Release Drill Chucks.
1924
George Emrick of Ettco is granted a patent for the first Tapping Clutch.
1925
George Emrick of Ettco is granted a patent for the first Self-reversing Tapping Head.
1963
Ettco is relocated to York, PA from New York.
1972
Rockford Drill Head is founded in Rockford, IL. The company designed and developed a standard line of universal drill and tapping heads and self-contained hydraulic drilling and lead screw tappers.
1974
Rockford Drill Head expands operations to meet the needs of John Deere and Gunite.
1980
Rockford Drill Head designs and manufactures the first universal joint for high speed / long life use on universal drill and tapping heads.
1981
Procunier relocates from Chicago, IL to Lakeland, FL.
1995
Ettco designs and manufactures the first CNC Tool Changer style Drill Head and Tapping Head with angular drilling capabilities.
2004
Ettco of York, PA is acquired by Rockford Drill Head and relocated to Rockford, IL.
2006
2007
Rockford-Ettco acquires Procunier of Lakeland, FL, and changes the dba name to Rockford-Ettco Procunier, combining the attributes of all three product lines under one umbrella.
2011
Rockford-Ettco Procunier acquires the assets of the former Universal Automatic Corporation of Des Plaines, IL. Universal Automatic, founded in 1957, designed and manufactured specialized machinery with a focus on drilling and tapping. This acquisition further positions the company as the go-to source for specialized drilling and tapping solutions.
2013
Rockford-Ettco Procunier acquires Createch, Inc., an automation design consulting firm headquartered in Machesney Park, IL, and co-locates the business in REP’s Rockford, IL facility. Createch Design, LLC’s expertise in designing industrial automation equipment complements REP’s machine-building capability as a benefit to both companies customer base.
2014
Rockford-Ettco Procunier acquires Speedycut Tapping of Port St. Lucie, FL. The Speedycut brand is added to the Rockford Drill Head, Ettco Machine Tool, Procunier, and Universal Automatic brands enhancing what is already the most complete offering of drilling and tapping solutions in North America.
2017
Rockford-Ettco Procunier changes its dba name to Createch Machine & Design as the umbrella name for the brands: Rockford Drill Head, Ettco, Procunier, Universal Automatic, and Speedycut.
2019
Createch Machine & Design consolidates all operations into its Lakeland, FL facility and registers as Florida Corporation, High Performance Holdings, Inc.
2022
Createch designs and develops the AD-6000 opposed head drilling machine with robotic load and unload capabilities. The AD-6000 is a great innovation for drilling very small shank holes, cross head, and cross corner holes in industrial bolts and fasteners.
